37South Crew Makes the Most of the School Holidays

Although it has been a terrible summer here in Auckland I think it’s safe to say that the team at 37South has made the most of their little Christmas break. Business Development Manager, Mark Illingworth says “I read a book, and another one and then I had to go to the book store, I also fixed my Mother’s sewerage system on New Year s Day, unfortunately I didn’t get any photos for show and tell”. Admittedly Mark’s energy levels were definitely higher than Allan Jouning’s who proudly admits he spent the time Catching up on his favourite past time… sleeping.

Luckily Paul, Jacqui and Fleur got out and achieved a few things and we weren’t stuck discussing book recommendations for the rest of the year. Jacqui Nordstrand went on a road trip to Te Aroha, Paeroa, and Thames, power walked on Orewa beach in 35 knots, and got sandblasted in the process. Fleur Tomlinson completed the Tongariro Alpine crossing, known as the most spectacular one day hike in the country, covering nearly 20km of steep but beautiful mountainous terrain. And Paul McNeil has been having far too much fun on his new yacht, fighting with Mako shark’s and Hammerheads before reeling in an 18 kilo kingfish!

Our best wishes go out to all of you for 2012, we hope you enjoyed your holiday period!
